Question for you...
what are we doing here?
The Question: What are we doing here?
Life is a series of questions. Questions that challenge us, enlighten us, move us, and often frustrate us. Questions don’t always have answers…
Questions can be easy,
like what is your name ?
Katie. Hi, hello, Welcome!
Questions can be complicated,
like why am I starting this Substack ?
Let’s figure that out together.
Questions can be telling,
like why now ?
A great question, I think because I want to move my life in a different direction.
Questions can be expansive,
Like what kind of space am I looking to build here with this substack ?
A space where there is never one right answer, but space for many.
Questions can require vulnerability to answer,
Like what scares you about putting your words into the world ?
Of course judgement, but perhaps if we are being vulnerable, I would share—feeling the rejection that people’s judgement might make me feel. And at it’s core, rejection is a fear of being unloveable. We’re all just human, so remember behind these words is another human trying to get better at human-ing.
Questions can set expectations,
Like what can you expect from me in this Substack, who is welcome, and how often will you hear from me?
I am trying to make this a weekly ritual. Let’s start with Fridays which gives me the week to write, and the weekend for you to savor. Everyone is welcome as long as you lead with kindness, and are open to exploring new ways of thinking.
Questions can be an ask for help,
Like would you subscribe to this free newsletter?
No pressure, just asking.
Questions can open doors,
will you open the door to the questions this newsletter will ask of you ?
Curious? Me too.
Let’s let these questions sit with us, move us, maybe confront or challenge us.
And hopefully also, at the right moments these questions will awaken us, expand us, and help us to live a life explored.
